• Understand web design deliverables and why each are important

Overview

Select a company that interests you and would be appropriate for a website refresh. (Can be real or fictitious.) Research the company (history, business goals, messaging, etc.) Define the target audience and keep them in mind when you’re creating the website. Within this project you will create the following to complete an entire refresh for your chosen company.

Challenges

With this being my first time designing a website using Figma, I first had to learn the program and then apply UI principals to my work. After a few rounds of critiques, I learned to employ the appropriate hierarchy of information so the final design improved significantly from the wireframes.

Location: Residents of Germantown, Maryland and it’s surrounding community

Age: Millenials, Gen X, Boomers

Gender: Female

Income: Higher Income

Education level: Higher Education

Family: Married or Married with children

Lifestyle: May have dietary restrictions, practices healthy eating and living habits

Interests/Values: Supportive of local farming and agriculture, shops small and local businesses

Desires: Seeks fresh/organic foods and produce, homeowners looking for customizable and unique furniture pieces
